Performing Arts

The Performing Arts Programme at BESA encourages children’s natural inquisitiveness by exploring music from various times and cultures, as well as developing students’ skill in playing a range of musical instruments. Ocarinas are introduced in Year 1, Recorders in Year 3, Guitars in Year 5, Trumpets in Year 7 and the Harmonica in Year 9. Piano is taught throughout the school by a private piano teacher.

Each Milepost has the opportunity to put on a performance during the school year and individual classes will showcase their learning through Exit Points.  Some shows are performed at a local theatre.

Middle Years students take part in drama lessons as a part of their timetabled curriculum.
