BESA Poetry Week

1st October 2018

Award winning, Hip Hop and Rap artist Karl Nova will be joining our poetry celebrations during the week of 15th to 19th October. In common with many children in our school, Karl has experienced the highs and lows that living in different cultures can bring. His own personal journey has taken him between Lagos, Nigeria and the UK. Using music and poetry as his medium, he has documented this.
During his visit to BESA he will be not only be performing work from his book “Rhythm And Poetry” but he will also be dissecting, comparing and contrasting classic and contemporary poetry.
“Inspiring an appreciation of literature in a cool way” Author’s Abroad.
There will be an opportunity for parents to meet and watch Karl Nova perform a selection of his poetry on Tuesday, 16th October, from 8.45 am to 9.30 am. He will also be bringing a limited number of copies of his poetry book that will be on sale during his workshop.
