Teaching Staff

Our school employs excellent teachers. Vacancies are advertised through the Times Educational Supplement, as they arise, and are also placed on this website.

BESA is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All teaching posts at BESA are subject to a full DBS check.

Teachers who work at BESA are not only fully-qualified and experienced but also have the qualities necessary to fit in to a high-performing international school. These qualities include independence, resilience, enthusiasm, adaptability and a sense of humour. As our school follows the National Curriculum in England, the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) training and experience of working within these systems would be beneficial.

In return teachers are offered a highly competitive salary, free accommodation with most services, free child places in school and private medical care.

Professional development is a strength of BESA, where everyone is considered a learner. As a result of this career progression opportunities are excellent, with teachers in recent years having moved on to more senior positions in UK state and independent schools as well as other Turkish and international schools.
