Additional Curriculum Elements

Learning opportunities at the school promote high expectations and develops pupils’ self-confidence, with a balance between the academic and the creative. All pupils develop as independent learners, within a structure that is clear and supportive.

Information Evenings and parent workshops are held during the year, to give parents the opportunity to see how areas of learning are covered in the School.

Relationship, Sex and Relationship Education (RSE) is taught as part of our Personal, Health and Social Education and as a separate subject in the older year groups.  Parents are invited to attend a Parent Workshop and view materials and are encouraged to ask questions.

Parents have the right to withdraw children from the sex aspect of RSE but not the Relationship element or from the sections related to the Science content of the curriculum.
